the way of grace

Whether it's your wedding day, you're graduating, or you find yourself recently engaged, my philosophy remains the same: there is great joy to be found in letting go. That's where I want your mind and heart to be when I fade behind the camera and you lose yourself in front of it. Now, that doesn't mean no posing or helpful prompting,  but it does mean a warranted goodbye to dread, insecurity, and the all-too-common "I don't look good in pictures." At the end of a session, my favorite photographs are always the ones captured in between suggested poses. The genuine smiles that can't help but cut across lips; the guttural laughter that forcibly escapes from the soul; the tender, loving gazes that make teenage girls look at them and say "find a man who looks at you like that." So let loose! Be free! Have fun! Run around, dance a little, jump for joy! Grant yourself grace and embrace the beauty of these celebratory moments. And remember: you won't look back and regret the time you lived radically in wonder and unbound by limitations.
